I started listening to K-Pop summer of 2009. The first idol group that caught my attention while watching Music Bank was B2ST. The song Bad Girl really has a catchy beat. The addiction started there. I watched their MV on Youtube lots of times in a day. Watch the music video of Bad Girl HERE.

B2ST is a South Korean boy group managed by CUBE Entertainment. The members are Doo Joon, Yo Seob, Gi Kwang, Hyun Seung, Jun Hyung, Dong Woon.

B2ST had a concert here in the Philippines last June 19, 2010. Of course, I was there. =D My cousin accompanied me to the concert. I couldn't afford to miss it. They are the first idol group that caught my HEART. =p

Okay I'm gonna start my rant. Fasten your seat belts.

A month ago, Skycable had a new subscription rate and package. We have to subscribe for this DigiBox for 700 plus pesos or else they are gonna remove channels 55 and up. Being a fan of the Korean entertainment industry, KBS World (is on channel 55) is a must have channel. So my mom and I decided to avail for this new package. My mom also loves watching KBS dramas so she didn't hesitate to go for it. To be fair, I liked it that they would add new channels if you avail for this new subscription. Skycable added ETC, 2nd Avenue, Biography, Fox News, Al Jazeera and 3 other channels. The reception is really good BUT these positive feedbacks for the new box are shut off by negative ones (lots of them).

So the day the new DigiBox got installed it only worked for less than 24 hours! So we had to call customer service to have our box replaced!

This was what happened to our first DigiBox:

> While watching, it suddenly froze so I had to turn off both the TV and the box. When I turned on the TV again, "Loading 100%" appeared on our TV screen. I waited.....for a long time..trust me. So I turned it off again. The time when I turned on the TV again, still it didn't change. Same message: "Loading 100%".

The next day we had our box replaced. The technician said it was a FACTORY DEFECT. What-the-fuck.

Now my OTHER PROBLEM with the box is that the "No right to access scrambled programs. Please contact your Skycable operator." message OFTEN appears on our screen and sometimes (well, most of the time) ALL the channels are gone. Yeah, it happened lots of times that I didn't have problems remembering the 'no right to access blah blah' while typing.

ANOTHER PROBLEM: Since the new box was installed, it freezes a LOT! I mean you know..when you watch TV then in a snap the people on your TV AREN'T MOVING. So I had to turn off both the TV and box so I can happily watch TV again. Trust me..I did it a LOT of times. I just hope our TV would put up with this craziness.

OLD box:

Seriously, that was better!!! It had LESS downtime. I also didn't have LOTS of complaints with the OLD box.

I wouldn't be subscribing for this DigiBox had you not included KBS World as one of the channels to be removed! If there would be other cable company who would have KBS World in their channel list, TRUST me Skycable, I would DEFINITELY switch.

To future Skycable subscribers, you might want to think twice.

Who loves this show? This show is GREAT and HILARIOUS. It is a SHAME CBS got it canceled. Tsk2.

Jenna Elfman (Dharma and Greg) and Jon Foster (Stay Alive, movie) are the leads. This show is about a young man and a cougar who had a one night stand and turned out they just created an offspring out of that "fun" night. =D Both of them decided to have the baby and eventually developed feelings for each other. Davis (Nicolas Wright) is soo funny in this sitcom. =)

It has been a great tournament. Lots of exciting matches. Turkey is this year's host country. The Turkish fans were really supportive with their NT. This tournament has been dominated by team USA and no doubt they showed the world that they are the "kings" of basketball. Speed and defense got them to where they are right now. I'm no fan of team USA though. Haha! My fave teams are Spain and Lithuania. Hope Spain would start finding young new players because their NT is getting old and they might not be able to keep up with the other teams next FIBA WC and even in the 2012 Olympics. Something was wrong with Spain in this tournament too. Most of their wins weren't sooo convincing that they were the defending champs. I'm hoping for the best for Lithuania. I really hope they'd be dominating in the 2012 Olympics and the next FIBA WC in 2014. I hope Linas Kleiza will bring his A game in crucial matches. He was completely shut out during the semis. I hope Mantas Kalnietes will improve more in the next few years. And of course,  Ricky Rubio should really start hitting those jump shots, 3 pointers and etc. Shooting is really his weakness. I'm still hoping for a much better improvement with this kid. He's still young.

I stayed up at dawn just to watch the games live. I even had one absent in one of my classes because I was not able to wake up early. =D

To name a few exciting games:

> The game between Spain vs. Serbia. That was heart stopping! I rooted for Spain so I was really heartbroken with that loss. I will never forget the name Milos Teodosic. Lol! Also the commentator's heart stopping words while Teodosic was attempting the 3 point shot "Fasten your seatbealtssssssss...BAM!!!" =)) I will never forget this. =))

> Turkey vs. Serbia semi finals! That was one of the EPIC GAMES I've watch in all these years of watching basketball!!

> Serbia vs. Croatia. Too bad I was not able to watch this game because Basketball TV, the one who had the rights to show FIBA games, didn't show it because they suck at their coverage. BTV didn't show ALL the FIBA WC 2010 games. The only team they KNEW was team USA. >.<

> Lithuania vs. USA semi-finals. This game wasn't as exciting as the above mentioned but I just want to commend the Lithuanians for fighting hard and not giving up in that game. They almost had it but USA's speed and super fast transition defense prevented them to get closer with USA's lead.

It has been 4 days since the FIBA WC 2010 ended and I'm missing it right now. I'm so determined to go to Spain in the next FIBA WC in 2014. I have it as one of my GOALS. <--- Possible

I saw this kid while watching Arirang News awhile ago and I was sooo amaze by his talent. His name is Sungha Jung and is a fingerstyle guitarist. He is from South Korea. He started playing the guitar at the age of 9.

Who would have thought I'd be addicted to K-Pop? I used to hate it but now I'm addicted to it. LOL! I had my first serving of Korean dramas way back in 2007 when My Girl (starring two of my fave celebs in Korea, Lee Dong Wook & Lee Da Hae) was shown in ABS-CBN. After the show ended, I went back to reality. LOL!

Have you heard the Korean variety show 2 Days and 1 Night? Damn. These guys are so funny. Try to catch it on KBS World every Friday at 11:20 PM. 2D1N features different tourist spots in Korea and along the way they could get wild and crazy ..You know just a normal thing with 7 crazy guys. LEE SEUNGGI, KANG HODONG, LEE SEUGGEUN, MC MONG, EUN JI WON, KIM C & KIM JONG MIN <---- I ♥♥♥ these 7 namjas. I hope they would come to the Philippines ESPECIALLY CEBU CITY!!!! =D

At first, I only watch 2D1N on KBS but now I also watch almost all shows in the Korean entertainment industry. I also tuned in to Arirang's Showbiz Extra and Pops In Seoul (I don't like VJ Isak by the way...=p) . =)

What made me love the Korean Pop culture is that they are so raw and funny. Just like their variety shows (it's like a reality show in Korea they call it as such). Well, almost all reality shows have scripts but in their case they've done it so well unlike the reality shows in the US and here in Philippines. Korean dramas are also one of the best. Nuff said. I just finished watching Brilliant Legacy (starring Lee Suenggi and Han Hyo Joo ♥ these two) and damn it was great. The story was also great but I was kind of disappointed with the ending because it was so anti-climactic. The antagonists of the show didn't got the suffering I wanted them to have. LOL! I'm also planning to watch Iris but I still haven't got a DVD copy so I have to wait for a while. =D And oh, just recently I tuned in to KBS World and Lee Da Hae's romantic-comedy drama, Hello! Miss was shown. Lee Da Hae is just so good in comedy plus her leading man Lee Ji Hoon is such an eye candy. =)

I just had my first summer vacation outing in Shangrila Mactan with Jennifer Z., Jazzy and Stef. It was fun. Shangrila's service was as always excellent. They really have respectful staff members. We stayed there overnight and it was not enough!! We wanted to stay there for a week. Hahaha.

March 12, 2010 was the day when I became single again. I miss my freedom. I learned a lot from that relationship and I will be wiser next time.

These are my lovely group mates (thesis and research). We went through hell but we conquered it! The toga, cap and tassel are the fruits of our hard work. =) Love you guys!


After years of sweat and hard work in schooling, finally I graduated last March 19, 2010 with a degree of BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING at the University of San Carlos. =) It's really fulfilling having to pass the stage after all these years. College graduation is different.

Miss Universe 2009 pageant stopped my blogging drought. I just watched the pre pageant clip of Ms. Philippines, Bianca Manalo, and I must say that she's doing really well in the preliminaries. She was really confident in strutting her stuff especially in the swimsuit round. She also has a really great and toned body. This is the first time that I really campaigned for our delegate. I kept re-posting her pre pageant clip in Facebook, online forums and here in my blog. =D

While everyone was talking about the death of Micheal Jackson or the new Transformers movie, I was blabbering about RICKY RUBIO. =D

Ricky Rubio is an 18 year old NBA player. He was picked (5th overall, NBA draft 2009) by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He started his pro career in 2005 so that makes him 14 or 15 years old that time. He was part of the Spanish national basketball team in the Beijing Olympics.

I was never a fan of the NBA( PBA fan here, San Miguel Beermen is my fave team) but vowed myself if Ricky Rubio gets drafted in the NBA I'll watch his every single game. Hope his games with the Timberwolves will be shown in Basketball TV. Actually, my addiction has just started. I didn't attend my first class just to watch the NBA Draft 09. LOL! I just came out of my closet of being a LA Lakers fan. My fave player is Trevor Ariza. =)

October takes forever. I'm itching to watch Ricky Rubio play -- again. =D

EDIT: And then, he didn't play for the Timberwolves. It's totally fine if he stays in Europe. I don't want him to play in the NBA.

Seventeen Mag had their last issue in April '09 with Leighton Meester as their cover girl. It's my favorite college magazine. I kept finding other alternatives and decided to stay with Chalk. Seventeen is still the BEST! Oh well, it's my last year in college I think I'll be fine. =)

Seventeen Mag (US) is too expensive. I can't afford it. =D

I posted my Seventeen mag collection (2008) in my blog just back read. Hehe.

I'll post my thoughts about my new found college mag. I haven't read it yet. Haha. =D

I got addicted to online forums 4 years ago until now. I've encountered a lot of members of every kind. Annoying, pasaway, flamebaiter and etc.

Here are my top 10 forum rules:

1. Read the forum rules.

2. Respect other people's opinion.

3. Don't be a flamebaiter. It just shows you are an attention-seeking person.

4. Do not quote a post if your reply isn't related to that post. What's the point?
Example:
Member 1: I see there a lot of newbies in this thread. Maybe they are taking a break from the CPA review exams.
Member 2 (quoted the post of member 1): The function of this thread is to let other people know where to review in the CPA exams.

*He quoted a post and his reply isn't related to it.

5. Don't use txtspeak.
Example: "wen" = when; "u"= you; "skol" = school

6. Always use the search button for an existing thread.

7. Don't cry your concerns in public (Meaning making a thread about it. Like why you are given an infraction and etc). Just personal message a moderator.

8. Don't post just for the sake of raising your post count. Result? Yeah, more post count but your posts are NONSENSE.

9. Don't create a "versus" thread. It will create flame among the members and there will be chaos unless that forum is strict about this rule. Like the mods constantly monitor the thread.

10. Don't be afraid to voice out your opinions as long as you know where you stand. =)

These are based on my experience being an online forum-er for almost 4 years. =)

Okay so I jumped in to the Gossip Girl bandwagon. At first, I really didn't care about the show until one of my friends lent me her dvd--- at last. First 2 episodes I got really hooked and excited. I liked Dan because he is funny and he's my type of guy among the GG guys. My excitement kind of went down as I watched the show. I can't help but compare my number 1 barkada TV show, One Tree Hill, to GG. After watching season 1 of GG, One Tree Hill is still on top of my list.

Here's what I thought of the show:
> Most of their characters are boring. I like Dan and Serena at first but they bored me. Super. Dan being funny kind of faded as the show progresses.

> Blair. I don't like her but sometimes I do. She's such a brat but on the brighter side, her character isn't boring.

> Nate. Hmmm. Hot guy but really boring. Ugh.

> Chuck. I don't find him handsome but same with Blair his character isn't boring. So, he's saved.

> RUFUS! The only HOT guy I sticked through out the show. I love Lily-Rufus loveteam.

> Jenny. Need I say more? Social- climber much but I liked her as Dan's lil sis.

> Serena and Blair's chemistry as BFFs isn't that convincing to me. Again, I can't help but compare them to One Tree Hill's Brooke and Peyton.

> All the "ka sosyalan" of the show kind of you know I don't know sickens me a bit. OTH is so much better. Peace out! =P

But still, I'd watch season 2.

EDIT: It just shows I wasn't hooked with this show. I didn't watch the rest of the seasons. LOL!

Man, this season is so memorable to me. It was my first time that I fell in love --- 'fell in love' is an overstatement you think? LOL. Well, let's just say I was never a fan girl before of any celebrity. Anoop made me a fangirl BIGTIME! I did things I don't usually do especially in watching AI.

Talking about the finale. I was only excited for the finale because I got to see Anoop again! And then we only heard him sang like what 3 lines? Or to sum up all his performances maybe like 10? SUCKS! Lil got a duet with Queen Latifah and she's top 7. Dammit. >:(

On the brighter side, Anoop was smokin' HOT in the finale. Anoop in a suit in their introduction performance for Rod Stewart was smokin' HOOOOTTT! I just didn't like that he wore the OBB jacket again but still he was hot. LOL.

About the winner, well I was never a fan of Kris but I want to commend his humility. I wanted Adam to win! I just don't like Kris' style. Kris has been compared to Jason Mraz and I'm not a fan of Jason Mraz so there you go. =p Why I wanted Adam to win? Duh, if you've read my blog, you'll know. Okay, I can relate to Adam's genre, rock. I've been downloading his studio versions (and those were GREAT!) and I had no problem listening to it. If I'd listen to Kris' studio version, I'd probably fall asleep. LOL!

I just hate people saying "I don't like Adam coz he's gay". That's just SHALLOW.

Adam performing with Kiss and Queen? That was the BOMB! I think Kris was overshadowed by Adam during the Queen performance.

I'm gonna miss this. I hope next AI season I won't get attached to any Idol anymore. Hell, it's tiring espcially emotionally but in Anoop's case, it's all worth it. =)

I just want to commend Shangrila Mactan's service. Their service was really great. They are worthy of the label '5 star hotel'. The staff were really nice, friendly and approachable. Every time we passed by the lobby or anywhere else they always greet you with sincerity.

It was my second time at the Shang last Saturday thanks to my friend, Jazzy, she invited me and Jennifer. We stayed there whole day and had fun. I just wished all three of us did get to swim in the beach and in the pool. Jennifer didn't bring extra clothes while Jazz..well, girlyreasons. Haha. Our pictures were 300 plus! Gosh, we are vain. LOL! I was exhausted in uploading our pics. Haha.

I hope the next time I stay at the Shang it will be overnight.
